| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, structured, and practical. The three careers that match my style are: Computer programmer, profesional athlete, and musician. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a computer programmer. I selected this job because I enjoy math, and challenges. One of my daily activities as a computer programmer would be to check softwares to make sure they are running correctly. I also have to design software and aplications. In addition, I have to make or change other applications or softwares. To work as a computer programmer, I need to have a bachelor's degree. I must be good at math and solving problems in order to become a well trained computer programmer. In the United States, the average salary for a computer programmer is $73,470 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $81,564 In the United States by the year 2016 employment for a computer programmer is expected to decrease by 4.1 %. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016 it is expected to increase by 4.5%. I am looking forward to becoming a computer programmer in the future. |
